Job Summary
Group Leader will be responsible for assisting before and aftercare school age students with homework, implementation of daily activities, coordinating daily activities, and all other duties assigned. In addition to ensuring that all children are supervised at all times.

Group Leader Qualification and Responsibilities
Group Leader tends to the daily needs of the classroom while following the provided activities schedule.
A successful Group Leader must be able to adequately perform each essential duty and have the following education and experience:
- A high school diploma or GED certificate and 30 credits hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education or a Human Service Field, or
- A high school diploma or GED certificate including 600 or more hours of secondary training. Or
- A high school diploma or GED certificate 15 credits hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education or a Human Service Field and one year experience. Or
- A high school diploma or GED certificate and completion of a post- secondary training curriculum. Or
- A high school diploma or GED certificate and two years of experience. (2500 hours)
Essential Duties: Ensures that the children are supervised at ALL times.
- Acts as a liaison between the teachers and parents addressing problems and answering questions regarding the children.
- Creates a stimulating environment for the child by conducting developmentally appropriate activities.
- Interacts with and provides guidance and care to all children within the center.
- Greets each child and parent upon arrival at the center.
- Encourages classroom participation and positive interaction with other children.
- Redirects undesirable behavior to promote positive socialization.
- Responds to children’s verbal and nonverbal indications of need and/or requests.
- Conducts oneself and representations ACCA in a positive manner which includes showing respect for co-workers, parents and superiors.
- Understand the chain of command and accepts criticism and suggestions as an opportunity to improve.
- Ensure appropriate set up and shut down of classroom on the daily basis.
- Provides exceptional customer service both internal and external customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Part-time Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 /hour
