Overall Purpose
The Sr. Data governance analyst builds and implements critical aspects of operations for data governance policies and vision. This role sits within the Data Quality Product Team in the CDO office.
Essential Functions
- Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of data governance frameworks and policies that align with the company's data strategy and objectives.
- Establishes data quality standards and metrics, and monitors compliance with these standards.
- Enforces data governance policies, procedures, and standards ensuring consistent data management practices across the company.
- Provides guidance and support on data governance best practices, data management processes, and data quality improvement to other teams.
- Builds strong partnerships with business and technology stakeholders, working with internal stakeholders to complete various data projects; ensuring data quality standards are achieved, including Risk, Customer Success, Operations, Engineering and Compliance to provide support for the Data Governance standards.
- Creates and maintains data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data classification systems to ensure accurate and consistent data definitions.
- Conducts data assessments and audits to identify data quality issues, data ownership, and data lineage, and develops strategies to resolve them.
- Designs and implements data governance awareness and training programs.
- Engages with data stewards to enhance our enterprise data catalog and drive its adoption in the company.
- Conducts data impact assessments for new projects and changes to existing data systems.
- Stays current with industry best practices and emerging trends in data governance.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders and leadership.
- Supports the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers.
