What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director - Early Years Learning Center - Allison Park position at Early Years Childcare Center?
We are currently seeking an experienced Child Care Center Director at our Allison Park location.
The Director is responsible for:
- Quality of education and care of each child
- Ensuring the implementation of the curriculum
- Conducting assessments with goals to determine the needs of each child
- Maintaining a positive working relationship with parents to meet the physical, cognitive and social needs of each child
- Set the tone for the facility, oversee physical facilities and maintain an environment that promotes a healthy self-image for individual children
- Work with and supervise all staff members as well as outside agencies and services
- Encourages each child to reach his/her potential in developing a love of learning
- Assist in interviewing staff for the facility
- Managing the image of the center
- Ensure compliance with DHS and STARS regulations
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as local and federal laws regarding child care
- Manage financial affairs of their center
Ideal Applicants will have:
- Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Early Education or related field
- 3 years of child care experience
- 2 years management experience
- Familiarity with PA Keystone Stars
- Valid clearances (FBI, Child Abuse, PA State police)
- Ability to obtain a health assessment and TB test
- Director Credential is preferred.
