Earn to Learn is hiring a REGIONAL COORDINATOR to join our service driven team. This is a full-time, benefits eligible, remote position with residency in the state of Arizona required. Earn to Learn has one (1) opening for a Regional Coordinator but use multiple postings for greater reach to find the best candidates. This is a grant-funded position.

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Regional Coordinator supports Earn to Learn (ETL) leadership in the implementation, administration and execution of ETL’s statewide Early Career Pathfinders Program. The program is designed to support middle and high school students with career exploration, preparation and development into the workforce.    

This role, will initially provide frontline support for students, collaborate with school administrators, counselors, teachers and parents to implement and integrate the program into existing support structures, including any current career readiness opportunities within the selected school sites. Regional Coordinator’s will work under the guidance of, and alongside program staff and leadership, to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with partner sites. As the program grows, the Regional Coordinator will assist in the recruiting of and provide front line supervision to a team of Career Advisors.     

This ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication, collaboration, mentoring, project coordination, and organizational skills. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Interact weekly with middle school students and their families at assigned school(s), providing information on Arizona’s current diverse career opportunities
  • Proficiency in the use of AR/VR (Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality) technology with the ability to assist students to explore various careers using these tools 
  • Assist students in identifying the educational pathways and develop a personalized career timeline for students, detailing steps for success, such as extracurricular activities, internships, CTE programs, and relevant college education.  
  • Plan and lead group events that inspire students and families to explore different career paths at assigned school(s)  
  • Conduct classroom visits, attend school assemblies, and club meetings where students can use META Headsets to interactively experience various careers 
  • Host workshops for middle school families to discuss career exploration, answer questions, and share resources
  • Collaborate with Earn to Learn, school staff, and community programs to assess the specific needs and resources for career exploration at each site
  • Partner with school counselors and teachers to seamlessly integrate career exploration activities into the curriculum and extracurricular programs
  • Document daily student interactions and activity outcomes in Vistashare, to accurately record student progress and engagement
  • Assist in the overall planning, facilitation, execution, and evaluation of events, trainings, and in-person and virtual orientations
  • Cultivate and foster a sense of community by facilitating networking events and opportunities for students and families
  • Advisor Recruitment (once the foundations of the program have been established and ETL is ready to expand the program with the hiring of Career Advisors)
    • Utilize sound human resource practices and principles to recruit, enroll and retain Advisors  
    • Create and accept Advisor applications, schedule virtual/online interviews, document interview notes, and send offer information to applicants    
    • Provide oversight of onboarding paperwork (Background Check, NSOPW, Fingerprinting, I-9, W-4, Payroll, Advisor Contracts, Advisor Identification, etc.)  
    • Coordinate logistics for the recruitment process by assisting with web page updates, actively sharing Advisor positions with community, and filing documents  
    • Collect advisor written service agreements that outline program requirements and expectations; ensure each Advisor completes required documentation for their file  
    • Successfully match Advisors and school sites   
    • Plan, facilitate, and follow-up after check-ins (if/when applicable) with Advisors to foster professional working relationships, address any questions or concerns, and provide feedback  
    • Collaborate with ETL’s Data Team to collect and review Advisor data to ensure adherence to program requirements (if/when applicable)   
    • Facilitate the exit process of Advisors within grant guidelines  

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate on-site job visits and tours with private sector companies affiliated with the Arizona Education Economic Commission (AEEC), giving students a firsthand look at modern facilities and the training needed to enter specific industries  
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with principals, school counselors, teachers, and community-based career professionals in assigned schools
  • Schedule check-in’s regularly with on-site supervisors to ensure program activities align with school and community career exploration goals
  • Collect and interpret essential data to aide ETL leadership in the evaluation of program effectiveness, focusing on career exploration outcomes
  • Seek and attend professional development opportunities related to career exploration; developing knowledge and understanding of current career exploration program trends and leading industry fields
  • Manage the training and events calendar, tracking due dates, project deadlines and assist in the delivery of educational training modules
  • Develop a dedicated, informed approach to foster greater access to the program and student success  
  • Assist in the development of Program handbooks and update policies and procedures as needed
  • Appropriate handling of sensitive and confidential information 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Required unless stated as “preferred”, “a plus” or “desired”)

Education/Formal Training/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in related field)

Experience:

  • At least 2 years experience in project coordination (3 preferred)  
  • At least 2 years experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications (3 preferred)  
  • At least 2 years experience with electronic filing and database systems (3 preferred)  
  • At least 1 years experience supervising staff or volunteers
  • At least 1 years experience coaching/mentoring/student support service experience
  • At least 1 years nonprofit experience (preferred)
  • At least 1 years virtual/remote work experience (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comfortable in a “virtual office” environment using virtual systems to communicate with a geographically dispersed team
  • Familiarity with and a desire to increase competency with online software and platforms
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving marketplace that requires flexibility and adaptability
  • Exudes a positive outlook and is willing to accept challenges and changes
  • Continuously solicits feedback for improvement and goal achievement
  • Competency with Outlook, collaborative chat, conferencing environments (Microsoft Teams), and cloud-based document storage platforms (OneDrive/SharePoint)
  • Excellent Communication skills, comfortable presenting in a public setting
  • Bilingual (Spanish, desired but not required)
  • A quick learner, highly disciplined and organized, with exemplary time and task management skills
  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail

            Other relevant experience may be considered as substitutes for above qualifications.

REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS

Earn to Learn is a fully remote organization. The following are required for remote home office work: 

  • Dedicated private, quiet, professional appearing home office space for hosting webinars and conducting virtual video meetings
  • Reliable, password protected, high-speed home internet (at least 10 Mbps for a single user)
  • Ability to work from a remote home office in addition to occasional onsite work at school campuses

TRAVEL AND AVAILABILITY

Weekly schedules may vary and are dependent on organizational priorities, projects, community events, etc. Evening and weekend work may be required occasionally. Travel within southern Arizona is required for partner site visits, and participant meetings.
