Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Must have strong background in manufacturing company and inventory management
• Will assist with month end closing tasks
• Ability to multi-task and have good time-management skills Ability to research errors and propose solutions
  
  

Inventory Management

• Inventory Tracking: Monitor and audit inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and sales to maintain accurate inventory levels. Prepare inventory roll forwards for manufacturing excise tax reporting.
• Physical Inventory Counts: Audit regular physical inventory counts to verify accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
• Inventory Valuation: Calculate the cost of inventory using standard costing and ensure proper valuation on financial statements.
• Inventory Analysis: Analyze inventory trends, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and propose strategies to optimize inventory levels.
• Inventory Reporting: Prepare periodic inventory reports for management, including inventory turnover ratios and cost of goods sold analysis.
• Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, including inventory valuation methods and reconciliations
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and interpret financial information to inform decision-making.
• System Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems and inventory management and point of sales software(s), familiarity with fixed asset software used for tracking, depreciation and property tax reporting.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with cross-functional teams to gather information and share updates.
  
  

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a criminal background check (per state requirements)
• At least 21 years of age (per state requirements)
• Possess/able to possess Arizona ID or US passport (for Facility Agent card)
• Ability to communicate well with others
• Effectively use Internet/technologies for communication and timekeeping
• Ability to be on time every day
• Credit check approval required
• Ability to perform high volume work confidently and accurately
• Extremely detail oriented
• Experience with accounting systems
• Experience with SAGE a plus
• Experience with purchasing, payroll and inventory systems a plus
• Knowledge of general office procedures and computer/Internet usage
• Adept at account reconciliations and researching transactions
• May support cash counting role at retail establishments
• Accounting degree preferred
  
  

Schedule

M-F to start, will change to Sunday -Thursday after completion of successful training period.
