Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire Mitigation Crew Foreman to lead our fire mitigation team in delivering high-quality services in the Arbor industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of arbor work, and hands-on experience with various tools and techniques. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the crew on-site to ensure effective workflow.
- Oversee fire mitigation projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for restoration tasks
- Train and mentor crew members on best practices for fire mitigation techniques and equipment usage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
- Ensure all work is completed within the specified time frames while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Experience working on a fire mitigation crew.
- Experience felling large trees in difficult locations.
- Experience running bucket trucks and other aerial devices, brush chippers, mini log loaders, stump grinders and chainsaws of various sizes.
- Experience applying herbicides to prevent the re-growth of cut plant material is a plus.
- Ability to do tree removals using a bucket truck or other aerial device and using industry standard climbing techniques.
- Ability to manage a 4 - 5 person crew in order to finish fire mitigation projects to spec, in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with ANSI guidelines.
- Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Requires driver license (CDL preferred) and a clean driving record.
- Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work on one of our residential tree crews under the direction of a different foreman when work load dictates that.
