At Earth Within Girls, we believe in empowering our community by providing opportunities for girls and women to learn about hormonal and earth-centered wellness from a young age. Our mission is to connect our students to natural cycles through plant wisdom and wellness- based after-school, summer camp and caretaker- daughter programs. Earth Within Flowers is a local sustainably focused floral design studio

Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant works collaboratively with the founder/program director and board of directors (BOD) at Earth Within Girls and represents our organization’s values when interacting with members and the community. This position is a key link in supporting the efficient and smooth day-to-day operations of the organization. Since we are a small and growing organization, this role requires someone able and willing to take ownership of a diverse array of tasks. Successful candidates will be self-starters, able to work both independently and with a team.

Additional role is assisting with our sister company Earth Within Flowers with administrative tasks and weekly delivery's as needed

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics:

• Securing materials and supplies for upcoming programs
• Documenting and administering evaluation from programs
• Managing Google Suite documents and calendar
• Taking Board meeting notes and assisting with managing Board Member tasks

Fundraising:

• Assisting with our annual fundraising events
• Creating community partnerships for in kind donations and community nights

Community Outreach:

• Assisting with parent and community partner correspondence
• Tabling and providing plant-based/ holistic educational activities at community events

Marketing:

• Co- management of social media and marketing platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Mailchimp, Canva)
• Co-maintaining our website on Squarespace

Assistance with Earth Within Flowers:

(Earth Within Flowers is EWG’s sister company- we offer sustainable floral design concepts)

• Assist with in studio flower processing, preparations and clean up
• Help with weekly deliveries
• Administrative tasks and website maintenance

Skills and requirements:

• 2 years work experience with preference given to those with nonprofit experience
• Enthusiasm for our mission
• Outstanding verbal/written communication skills
• Proficiency in Instagram, Facebook, Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Suite is required. Experience with Squarespace, MailChimp, and Canva is preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and priorities autonomously, effectively and professionally.
• Live in Missoula, Montana with a reliable mode of transportation
• Preferred: background or experience in herbal medicine, hormonal literacy, environmental education, and working with children. If you are interested but these topics are new to you, we encourage you to apply.

Position Reports to: Founder and Program Director Melissa Lafontaine

Salary Range: $20/ hour at 10 hours per week
