A self starter, young active fit responsible applicant who wants to own their own business working and managing a crew of 3 workers. ( due to the labor shortage, possibly going the H2B worker route next year) We are a small company who is focused in a narrow zip code. Atm not looking to get big or grow. We want someone who knows this business, to come in and take over or work along side the owner. You can't do it behind a desk in my experience. Also not looking to turn things upside down overnight bc I have a very profitable business. Im getting toward the end of my rope. I need to add a partner or manager of sorts.

Its not a clock in at 8am and out at 430 im done kinda job. It takes a steady calm and well rounded person to deal with the new generation and its work force. The lazy, weak, and loafers dont stand a chance here, Ive been through a hundred over my career, Ive been at it for over 20 years, i know what I'm doing but now its time to hand it off. This is a career and you need to be passionate about it. Know plant names, the care they require and be able to sell jobs.

We have all the best tools and equipment and will maintain these to do the best job possible. This applicant knows how to use machinery efficiently and needs little training.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Supervisor to lead our landscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of landscape maintenance, including garden care, groundskeeping, lawn care, tree care, and irrigation systems. As a Landscape Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily landscaping operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
• Oversee landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, planting, and weeding.
• Manage the care of trees and shrubs, including pruning and disease management.
• Ensure proper irrigation practices are followed to maintain healthy landscapes.
• Build and install landscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls as needed.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices in landscape maintenance and safety protocols.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition; report any issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.

Experience

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related fields is required.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred to effectively lead a team.
• Strong knowledge of horticulture practices related to garden care and groundskeeping.
• Familiarity with lawn care techniques and tree care best practices is essential.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
