About the position: This is an entry-level role for a motivated developer eager to gain hands-on experience in ecommerce development. Youll work within our GitHub codebase, assisting with bug fixes, feature development, and integrations across our Laravel backend, React frontend, and third-party services like Square, OneSignal, and SendGrid. This role offers a mix of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, providing a strong foundation for growth in ecommerce technology.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in fixing bugs and implementing feature updates in our Laravel (PHP) and React (JavaScript) applications
• Work within GitHub to manage tasks, pull requests, and code reviews
• Support and optimize third-party integrations (Square, OneSignal, SendGrid, etc.)
• Develop and maintain internal tools for order management, customer service, and reporting
• Test and debug new features before deployment
• Collaborate with senior developers and stakeholders to enhance platform functionality
• Participate in on-site meetings and development sessions as needed

Qualifications

• 1 year of coding experience (internships, projects, or coursework acceptable)
• Basic experience with Laravel (PHP), JavaScript (React preferred), and SQL
• Familiarity with GitHub workflows (branching, commits, pull requests)
• Understanding of REST APIs and basic API integrations
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
