Automotive Mechanic

Earthling Automotive in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco is seeking an automotive technician with at least 3-5 years of experience. Ideal candidates have experience with EVs and Hybrids diagnostics and repairs.

Under the direction of the Service Advisor, Earthling Auto (EA) technicians work to provide our customers Class A repairs and communications.

In addition to fixing cars, technicians are expected to possess excellent communication skills including providing knowledgeable and accurate information, answer questions, and collaboration with team members. Technicians build trust with Earthling customers by providing fair and accurate diagnoses and excellent repairs.

Responsibilities include:

• Understand EA core values
• Understand EA mission and objectives
• Contribute to the success of Earthling and achieving monthly targets by executing personal targets
• Ability to road test vehicles
• Being punctual and planning PTO in advance as much as possible
• Possess and maintain your own tools and toolbox
• Maintain an organized, neat and safe bay
• Contribute to the organization and cleanliness of the shop
• Master using our scheduling software in combination with Shop-Ware, our shop management system
• Continue to learn to diagnose and repair various hybrid and electric vehicle systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical, hv batteries and transmissions
• Provide and receive guidance, and collaborate with team members to increase organization knowledge and skills
• Identify and solve problems, and consult with Lead Technician or others when necessary
• Document new findings and common failures in Guru, our knowledge management system
• Focus on customer satisfaction
• Contribute to continuous process improvement
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and culture
