Job Description
The R&D Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting and managing research and development (R&D) projects from initiation to completion. This role involves coordinating project activities, facilitating communication between teams, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, and maintaining documentation to drive innovation and efficiency in the R&D department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee R&D project activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones, deliverables, and budgets.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including engineers, purchasing, manufacturing and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Support regulatory and compliance requirements by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Organize and lead project meetings, providing status updates and action plans.
- Work with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
- Implement and maintain best practices in project management methodologies and tools.
- Provide administrative support, including data analysis and report generation, to support decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in an R&D or technical environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Product Development (NPI) Expert using PDP (Stage Gate)
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar tools).
- Expert in Document Control management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding research and development processes and product lifecycle is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, innovative work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Solid Works, AutoCAD is desired
- Experience working with BOM’s and Drawing packages is desired
- Experience sourcing materials and parts from outside vendors
- Experience in regulatory compliance.
Work Environment:
- Office-based work environment.
- Some travel may be required to support project needs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $80,000 DOE. Company bonus.

With organization and prioritization skills, this candidate will organize the necessary pieces to ensure project success.
