Role Overview:
We’re looking for a dynamic individual to join our growing team as a Technical Project Manager/Office Manager to oversee our expanding project portfolio and foster collaboration across a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate will oversee project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This individual will coordinate between teams and with counterparts at other EarthSense offices. The candidate will also manage communication, day-to-day activities at the EarthSense Champaign office, and support strategic objectives of EarthSense.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Support Project Leaders in planning and executing multiple projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with business objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and track progress using project management tools (e.g., Asana).
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure cost efficiency and on-time delivery.
- Mitigate risks and implement strategies to ensure quality and project success.
- Cross-Functional Communication & Leadership:
- Act as the central point of coordination between internal teams (engineering, design, operations), clients, and external partners.
- Facilitate clear communication and alignment during regular team and client meetings to review progress and address issues.
- Oversee project documentation, technical reporting, and information archiving.
- Office Operations:
- Manage daily operations and logistical activities at EarthSense's USA office in Champaign, Illinois.
- Support strategic initiatives and cross-departmental objectives.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Technology Management, System engineering, Project Management or equivalent.
- Highly Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credential.
- Preferred: Advanced certification in project management, such as PgMP or PMI-ACP.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a project management role, with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in the technology or agricultural sectors is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (eg. Asana, Kanban, Agile, Scrum).
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments & with cross-functional-teams.
- Exceptional skills in task organization. Including skills like time management, planning, and goal-setting, which are essential for maintaining productivity and efficiency.
- Experience in managing risk, improving stakeholder satisfaction, and delivering projects within scope and timeline.
- Familiarity with design, manufacturing, and software development processes.
- Basic understanding of machine learning (ML) concepts.
- Passion for technology and sustainability, with an interest in solving challenges.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Willingness to relocate to Champaign, Illinois
