Maintenance Technician

Earthworks, Inc, a leading manufacturer and distributor of natural stone and masonry products has an immediate opening for an Industrial Maintenance Technician.

Position Summary

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Hours Monday – Friday 6 am-4 pm.

All applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and physical testing to ensure they are capable of performing the required tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.

· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

· Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, welding, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

· Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

· Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

· Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

· Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

· Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

· Comply with MSHA (Mine Safety Health Administration) and company safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

· Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Job Requirements

· Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience;

· Previous experience in mechanical and industrial maintenance a must;

· Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

· Must have your own tools or the means to acquire them. Large and Specialty tools provided.

· Install/ Maintain production machines 5 year required

· Mechanical Knowledge 5 year required

· Preventative maintenance 5 year required

· Welding knowledge 5 year required

· Computer/PLC Knowledge 5 year required

· Electrical Systems Diagnostics recommended

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

· Plant manufacturing environment

· Must be able to move around the production floor, lift heavy objects over 50 lbs.

· Must be able to work at high elevations utilizing aerial lifts and fall protection.

· Must be able to work in hot or cold temperatures.

· Full-time position, days Monday-Friday, some overtime required including some Saturdays

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
