Job Overview
Dr. Steve Byrd and The Earwell Centers of Excellence is looking for an experienced, part time M/A to join our team. (No certification required)
As an MA with Earwell Center of Excellence, your clinical responsibilities will include inputting necessary information in the EMR and assisting the provider. Additionally, you will need to be able to maintain medical supplies, inventory, and samples and organize these within provided workstations and designated storage areas. Because we are a specialty clinic, you will need to be used to a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining patience and compassion necessary to care for our newborn patients and their caregivers.
This position is also cross trained to work as a Patient Services Associate at the Front Desk. Experience with receptionist work and understanding of insurance is a plus. The shift is for Thursdays from 9am - 12 pm in Dallas and 1 pm - 5 pm in Southlake same day. Opportunities for more hours and days by the end of 2nd quarter this year.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of vital signs measurement techniques and medication administration protocols.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience in specific areas such as inpatient care, geriatrics, or dermatology is an advantage.
