Job Description
Ease Capital is recruiting for a Head of Underwriting to guide the firm’s underwriting of multifamily mortgage loans. The candidate will act as the subject matter expert on how to evaluate and underwrite bridge and permanent loans from the perspectives of private balance sheet, capital markets, and agency lenders. The candidate will use that knowledge and proficiency to help the originations team screen new opportunities and the closing team to integrate its due diligence findings to complete final underwriting for investment committee presentation and approval. We are looking for someone who is disciplined, organized, and motivated to dig into the details of transactions. This position requires someone who enjoys learning, embraces teaching colleagues, and has the temperament to work well with brokers, capital partners, and line lenders. While the priority is guiding the company’s transaction underwriting, the role requires a candidate who will also be an ambassador of the firm and a key internal resource for colleagues.

Internally :
- Work with Ease origination teams to review, validate and underwrite debt opportunities using proprietary models, data systems and transaction management software.
- Work with Ease closing teams to incorporate due diligence findings, including third party assessments, market data, and property history and contracts, to determine and defend as-is and stabilized underwritings for investment committee approval.
