What are the responsibilities and job description for the Winery bottling line on THURSDAYS position at Easley Winery?
Easley Winery, a second generation, downtown Indianapolis, family owned winery, is looking for two to three part time team members to work on our automated wine bottling line on Thursdays from 8 am to 4 pm. This part time job is perfect for college students or retirees. It is a physical job that is part of a 8 person team that bottles wine generally every Thursday. Five of the team members rotate their job position every 30 minutes or so to keep the team fresh and provide for occational breaks. It is not always necessary to work every single Thursday.
On occation other jobs or wine cellar tasks need to be done like bottling line clean up by sweeping and washing the floors and machines, taking out trash to the dumpster and washing wine tanks, hoses and wine filters.
Responsibilities
Two team members dump empty wine bottles on the automated wine bottling line, one team member inspects full wine bottles, one team member inspects sealed wine cases before they are palletized and one team member preps empty wine bottle pallets by pulling off the shrink wrap, corner guards and pallet identification tags. There is a 30 minute lunch break around 12 noon and lunch is provide free of charge on bottling days.
Qualifications
- Must be able to stand, climb a 3 step ladder and sit through out the full shift
- Must be able to reach and bend over to pick up empty wine bottle boxes.
- Must be able to occationlly climb a 3 step ladder to pull boxes off the top of empty wine bottle pallets and pull cardboard sheets off the top of empty bottle pallets.
- Must be able to work legally in the United States.
- Must be able to pass a back ground check
- Prefer you have a valid drivers license
- Prefer if you had an Indiana wine servers license
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and protocols and wear provided personal protection devises like safety glasses and hearing protection.
- Must wear shirt, long pants, ball cap and closed toed shoes
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
