About the Role:

Our client, a private equity-backed company, is seeking an Interim Controller to lead accounting operations, enhance financial processes, and support business growth during a transitional period. This 3-month contract offers the potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting Leadership: Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Month-End Close: Manage the month-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support business decisions.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Strengthen internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain financial integrity.
• Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, and ensure efficient working capital management.
• Audit & Tax Support: Work with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Process Improvement: Optimize financial systems, accounting policies, and reporting procedures to drive efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Controller, Interim Controller, or Senior Accounting Leader in a private equity-backed or high-growth company.
• Strong background in GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with an execution-oriented mindset.
