Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans and ability to function at a high level in a small Organization with limited resources. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes in both the Emergency Department and as a hospitalist in the Medical Unit.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Perform diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Administer treatments and medications in accordance with established protocols.
- Provide care for patients of all ages, including toddler care, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Implement infection control measures to safeguard the health of patients and staff.
- Assist in phlebotomy procedures and other laboratory tests as required.
- Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Admit patients to the hospital as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and clinical decision-making.
- Strong ability to perform phlebotomy and ventilate patients effectively when necessary.
- Knowledgeable in infection control practices to ensure a safe healthcare environment.
- Experience with medical documentation systems for accurate record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with EPIC is a plus but not required.
