What are the responsibilities and job description for the ABA Therapist position at East African Healing Services?
An ABA therapist is a professional who works under the supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. They are responsible for directly implementing treatment plans related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction. They also collect data and provide support every time a client is seen.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collects treatment plan data
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in the home, school center, and community-based environments.
- Adheres to applicable laws, rules, and regulations specified by regulatory agencies
- Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals.
- Participates in team meetings and training workshops.
- Ensure that the client is always in a safe and positive environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate students in psychology, social work, and education
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Registered Behavior Technician with the BACB
- Bachelor's Degree or 48 credit hours towards a Bachelor's in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- Experience working with children with behavior problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual
Services will be performed in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area of the following seven (7) counties: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties
Salary : $24 - $30
