Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner (ARHMS)**

Pay Rate: $20 - $26 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
East African Healing Services (EAHS) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to provide culturally specific Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARHMS). The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health care and a passion for supporting individuals dealing with mental health challenges. This is a great opportunity to assist clients in their mental health recovery and help improve their daily functioning through rehabilitative services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct rehabilitative mental health services to clients in the ARHMS program, including skill-building, coping strategies, and assistance with daily activities.
- Conduct individual and group sessions, implementing rehabilitative mental health interventions.
- Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans based on their mental health needs and personal goals.
- Maintain detailed client documentation, including progress notes, assessments, and reports.
- Work with supervisors, case managers, and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide culturally sensitive services, understanding and respecting the backgrounds of diverse clients.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in mental health.
- Follow confidentiality and ethical guidelines, in line with professional standards and EAHS policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner in Minnesota or working towards licensure.
- 1-2 years of experience in mental health services (experience with diverse populations preferred).
- Familiarity with Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARHMS) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of Somali, Amharic, Oromo, or Swahili is a plus)
