- POSITION SUMMARY
- Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients, families, and staff throughout the continuum to include patient, family, and staff education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Administers Medications according to standard nursing practice. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development. The charge nurse role participates in employee evaluations, staffing and scheduling, patient and preceptor assignments, oversight of resource utilization, and initiating and overseeing quality improvement activities.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- Associates degree in nursing or equivalent
Minimum Experience- 1 years nursing experience within Maternal Child Services
Required Registration/License/Certification- BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer
- NRP is required within 12 months of DOH/Transfer
- Registered Nursing License
Preferred Education- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience- 1 year of leadership experience
Preferred Registration/License/Certification- RNC-Neonatal Nursing
