- POSITION SUMMARY
- Our Mother Baby Post Partum Unit includes 24 Private rooms. Our practice model is Couplet Care which emphasizes well mother and well baby being cared for together, as a "couplet," or pair by the same nurse. Mother Baby Nursing staff are expected to provide care and support for each couplet after delivery until discharge. The Couplet RN is responsible for making sure that medical as well emotional needs of the couplet are adequately met throughout the post partum stay.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- Associates Degree in Nursing or equivalent
Minimum Experience- N/A
Required Registration/License/Certification- BCLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer
- NRP is required within 12 months of DOH/Transfer
- Registered Nursing License
Preferred Education- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience- 1 Year of Mother Baby experience in an acute care facility
Preferred Registration/License/Certification- RNC-Mother- Baby Certification
