What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemistry/Physics Instructor position at East Arkansas Community College?
East Arkansas Community College is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach coursework within the Chemistry and Physics disciplines. This position is on a 9- month position.
Responsibilities include: Provide instruction for the discipline-specific coursework included in the Chemistry, Physics, and Physical Science related fields. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements: Master's degree with 18 plus hours in Chemistry, Physics, or related fields required; one year of instructional experience in a community college setting preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects. The employee must occasionally walk, reach with hands and arms, and kneel or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The employee will be required to work in a high traffic area, with frequent public contact. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must be willing to work in an office that utilizes overhead LED lighting. Some travel is required
Base Salary: $43,600 to $51,100 Salary commensurate with experience. Workweek is a minimum 35 hours and works on a faculty holiday schedule. Start date flexible.
