Summary:
As a Certified Dental Assistant, you will be an essential part of the dental care team, providing crucial chairside assistance and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic. Your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at facilitating effective patient care and supporting the dentist during examinations and treatments
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares the patient for procedures, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, and sets up the instrument tray. They prepare the necessary materials and assist the dentist during various dental procedures
- Take and record the medical and dental histories of patients, as well as their vital signs
- Expose dental diagnostic x-rays, providing crucial images for the dentist to evaluate and diagnose dental conditions
- Makes preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts
- Pours, trims, and polishes study casts, fabricates custom impression trays from preliminary impressions, cleans, and polishes removable appliances, and fabricates temporary restorations
- Assists dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies.
- Instructs patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs emphasizing the importance of maintaining good dental health.
- Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist, ensuring that patients understand how to care for themselves after procedures
- Record treatment information in patient records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation
- Polish teeth and apply protective coatings of fluoride
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
