We are looking for a skilled X-ray/Radiology Technician to join our medical team at the East Arkansas Family Health Center. The ideal candidate will be proficient in X-ray technology and possess a deep understanding of anatomy. As an X-ray/Radiology Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate diagnostic imaging services to support patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging on patients as prescribed by physicians
- Operate X-ray equipment to capture images of specific body parts
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection measures
- Assist in emergency medicine situations requiring immediate X-ray imaging
- Utilize knowledge of diagnostic radiology techniques for precise imaging results
- Responsible for sending exams for over reads and ensuring a timely return of exam results.
- Perform EKGs as requested
Requirements
- Certification or degree in Radiologic Technology
- Proficiency in X-ray technology and equipment operation
- Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Able to obtain licensure in the state of Arkansas
- Travel to various work sites may be required
