What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Case Coordinator position at East Arkansas Youth Services?
Bachelor’s Degree in a Behavioral Science from an accredited college or university. Must 21 year of age, own vehicle, have valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance and submit to a pre-employement drug screen, criminal record and child abuse registry check.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for maintaining case records for shelter residents and coordinating services for youth assigned in the residential component. Conduct intake interview with client, parents or guardians and referral source (if applicable) to obtain information about the presenting problem, client’s needs, past behavioral history and to explain the program and services available. Assist in the development of the treatment plan under the direction of the Program Director and with the assistance of the Therapist when warranted involving the client and guardian. The case plan or treatment plan would include goals and objectives geared toward resolving problems with the client’s needs in mind. Provide individual, family, and group sessions or remediation targeted at resolving family issues or the presenting problems that resulted in placement. Transport clients when necessary. Assess needs and assist Program Director in making recommendations regarding treatment with appropriate referrals to other agencies and services. Act as youth advocate. Monitor client’s progress and behavior in the program, school, home and in the community by making visits to homes, schools or other appropriate agencies as needed. Attend staffings and trainings as required. Provide feedback on clients to other staff as needed.

- Assist the Therapist and/or Program Director in assessment of client referrals and in making decisions regarding emergency shelter placements. Assist with Youth Care Workers’ training for taking referrals and other treatment oriented duties. Provide supervision and guidance to Youth Care Staff in the absence of the Program Director and Youth Care Worker Supervisor.
Complete forms and paperwork required by the funding sources and all required internal agency forms. Maintain current clients records as required by licensing with adequate and appropriate documentation of all contacts with or on behalf of the clients including progress made and reasons for termination of services. Complete all monthly billing reports and records as required. Complete all required administrative reports. Maintain active client log.
Responsible for participation in rotating a twenty-four hour on call for emergency situations with other professional shelter staff members. Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Directly accountable to the Program Director.
Regular Work Schedule:8AM- 5PM Monday through Friday
2PM -10PM _Sunday through Thursday
Starting Salary: $14.00 -$15.00 per hour depending on work schedule.
