Summary
The East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) invests heavily in our 32 residential properties with people- and place-based strategies to ensure our residents live healthy, happy lives. We provide social services, financial and workforce services, youth programming, and community building opportunities for our property residents and the broader neighborhoods we serve.
The Operations Associate will support the Resident & Community Services (RCS) department by providing administrative assistance with daily operations to promote efficient and consistent systems across the department’s programs.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Physical Demands:
This job requires simple grasping and fine manipulation, sitting at a desk and using a computer for extended periods of time, moderate use of telephone, walking, bending and reaching. Requires occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 25 pounds, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Salary Range: $58K - $62k annually

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Administrative Support (75%)
- Responsible for maintaining electronic filing systems according to department standards
- Develop and maintain secure filing system for paper documents
- Regularly update policy, procedure, and other essential documents using Microsoft Office
- Support the team in tracking and meeting key department deadlines and action items
- Assist in managing several online accounts
- Coordinate inter- and cross-departmentally to schedule and develop agendas for meetings and trainings
- Support onboarding of new hires within the department, including securing workspaces, systems access, and devices in collaboration with hiring manager
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Inventory & Procurement (10%)
- Develop and maintain a system for managing department-issued equipment, including procurement, storage, troubleshooting, and tracking
- Procure supplies, catering, and reservable spaces for department meetings and trainings
- Ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness of all purchases
- Ensure vendors are compliant with organizational requirements and department standards
Customer Service (15%)
- Monitor the department email inbox, ensuring timely and courteous responses to messages
- Provide in-person support at department meetings and trainings
- Receive and assist department staff who come to the main office for administrative support
- Field and prioritize administrative requests from multiple programs with support from Operations Manager
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in operations, administration, or program support services
- High school diploma or GED required; AA or BA preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and oral communication
- Experience and proficiency in working in diverse, low-income communities with cultural competency and sensitivity, and promotes inclusive practices
- Valid CA driver’s license or reliable transportation
- Passes criminal, DOJ, and other background checks
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods.
- Frequent use of computer, keyboard, and mouse, requiring good manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and carry office supplies and materials (up to 25 pounds).
- Occasionally travel to and transport materials to various sites
- Standing, walking, and setting up equipment and furniture for meetings or training sessions.
- Ability to navigate and manage various office environments, including meeting spaces, and collaborate with internal staff across departments.
