East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking positive and energetic On-Call Substitutes to support our Early Childhood Education programs serving children from birth to age 5. This flexible position offers valuable experience while making a meaningful impact in children's lives.
Position Overview
As an On-Call Substitute, you'll provide essential coverage in Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms, kitchens, and reception areas across our multiple locations. You'll work alongside experienced teaching teams to implement developmentally appropriate activities that nurture children's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching teams in implementing daily classroom activities
- Follow Head Start Performance Standards and RI Child Care Center Regulations
- Implement the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) approach
- Utilize Creative Curriculum to provide quality learning experiences
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing environment for all children
- Assist with classroom management and child supervision
Qualifications
To qualify, you must have ONE of the following:
- High School diploma or GED (experience in Early Childhood Education preferred)
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certification
- Other combinations of education and experience considered on a case-by-case basis
