POSITION OVERVIEW:
Lead the launch of East Bay Community Action Program's (EBCAP) pioneering school-serving health center in East Providence. This unique role combines clinical expertise with program development to create a comprehensive health services hub serving students, staff, and families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Leadership (70%)
- Deliver comprehensive primary care services tailored to children, adolescents, and the larger school community
- Conduct age-appropriate preventive screenings, physicals, and health assessments
- Manage acute conditions and provide chronic disease management
- Implement behavioral health screening and intervention protocols
- Ensure clinical documentation meets FQHC standards and supports quality initiatives
Program Development (20%)
- Design and launch our inaugural school-serving health center model
- Develop clinical workflows and protocols aligned with both FQHC and educational settings
- Establish quality metrics that demonstrate program effectiveness
- Integrate services with existing EBCAP programs and school health initiatives
- Lead continuous quality improvement efforts as the program evolves
Relationship Building (10%)
- Foster collaborative partnerships with school administration, nurses, and counselors
- Work closely with EBCAP medical and behavioral health leadership team
- Engage with students, families, and staff to build program awareness and trust
- Coordinate with compliance to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
- Represent EBCAP in community and school-based health initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Current Rhode Island licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- 5 years of clinical experience in primary care or family medicine
- Demonstrated success in program development or practice transformation
- Experience working with adolescents in healthcare settings
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities
Preferred:
- Previous experience in school-based health centers or adolescent medicine
- Knowledge of FQHC requirements and operations
- Background in behavioral health integration
- Experience launching new clinical programs or services
- Track record of building effective community partnerships
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
