Veterinary Associate Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate veterinary associate to join our team at the East Bay SPCA. As an associate veterinarian, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional animal care and promoting compassion and kindness in our community.
You will be responsible for providing surgical services, examining and treating client-owned and shelter animals, and working closely with our multi-doctor team to achieve our mission. You will also spend up to 10% of your time based on organizational needs between shelter animal care in Dublin and Oakland and at high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter clinics.
We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $180,000 per year, plus up to $20,000 in annual bonuses. Responsibilities
As an associate veterinarian, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing surgical services, including ovariohysterectomy, orchiectomy/castration, tumor/lump removal, hernia repair, and tooth extractions
- Examining and treating client-owned and shelter animals
- Working closely with our multi-doctor team to develop and implement goals, policies, and procedures related to veterinary care
- Maintaining accurate medical records and drug use logs
- Ensuring quality care is provided to clients, staff, and volunteers throughout the veterinary clinic
Salary : $130,000 - $180,000
