Salary : $20-24 / hour
Overview :
ECPC in Greenville, North Carolina has an opening for a part-time LPN. This clinic is the flagship for ECPC and is a subdivision of East Carolina Anesthesia Associates, North Carolina's largest anesthesia private practice. Providers at our ECPC clinics perform a variety of procedures to treat and manage acute and chronic pain. Our clinics are equipped with fluoroscopy suites to allow for direct on-site treatment of pain position. Our providers use a multi-modal approach to pain management. The incumbent must be available 2 days per week and 1-2 weekends per month.
Job Summary :
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital role to the pain clinic. The LPN will utilize both clinical and administrative tasks to help clinicians in the pain clinic. Daily responsibilities include taking-in patients, assisting the physician before / during / after procedures, in addition to various administrative tasks such as conducting prior authorizations and documenting medical information into the electronic medical records system. The LPN must be attentive to patient needs and communicate any potential issues to staff. The LPN identifies patients needs, provides safe and professional care, and communicates any needs to the provider. The LPN must demonstrate professionalism and tact during difficult patient situations. The LPN will :
Duties / Responsibilities :
Triage patients.
Take vitals.
Prepare / clean up procedure rooms.
Assist physicians with a wide variety of procedures.
Fax notes to other practices.
Document patient notes in EMR (eClinicalWorks).
Obtain prior authorizations for procedures.
Assisting with front desk processes when needed.
Assist with the C-arm.
Handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience :
High school diploma.
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse and received licensure from an accredited program.
Two years’ LPN experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Proficiency with EMR systems.

Work performed in an office environment.
Involves frequent contact with physicians, leadership, and medical office staff.
Work may be stressful at times.
Interaction with others is frequent and often disruptive.

Physical activity can be irregular and fast-paced regularly
Must possess sufficient eye-hand coordination / manual dexterity to operate medical and office equipment.
Required normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and evaluations.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds with no assistance
