East Carolina Rehab and Wellness (a skilled nursing facility) is looking to hire an energetic person in the role of Assistant Director of Nursing / Staff Development Coordinator - RN. This is a full time position.

Qualifications/ Responsibilities:
- A minimum, one (1) year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility is preferred.
- Must hold a valid RN license issued by the state
- Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census.
- Must possess creativity, integrity, and initiative
- Plan, organize, and implement skills training programs/in-services for clinical staff and other departments; Perform orientation classes
- Develop educational strategies to facilitate quality improvement efforts
- Focus on Quality improvement
- Overseeing Infection Control (including Employee Health)
- Maintaining in-service educational records
- Coordinate with and utilize community resources in meeting educational and staffing needs
- Oversee the process for competency evaluation of new employees
- Recommend progression to permanent employment or extension of orientation/probationary period for new employees
- Work closely with HR regarding hiring process and new employee files.
- Work closely with the Director of Nursing
