Job Description |
ECU Department of Joyner Library Services: The Manuscripts & Digital Curation unit is currently seeking an undergraduate assistant to assist with organizing archival material, creating collection descriptions, and providing basic preservation of paper-based content under the supervision of the Manuscripts Curator. The position will also help identify collection materials that could be used for outreach, promotion, and support reference services. The position may be particularly interesting to students enrolled in History or other related academic programs. Responsibilities include physically assessing collection material and data entry, organizing archival material, writing inventories for archival material, identifying discrepancies between collection content and existing collection guides, writing content for blog posts and social media, staffing the Special Collections secondary research desk, and other tasks as assigned. |
