Job Description |
ECU Department of Biology is currently seeking several learning assistants for the upcoming semester. You may be assigned as a lecture learning assistant, a lab learning assistant or a lecture grader. The range of duties may include grading, proctoring exams, helping with in-class activities, holding tutoring sessions for students outside of class and weekly meetings with course instructors. It is possible to be hired to one, two or three positions per semester depending on your availability. You will be expected to perform approximately 5 hours of work per week per each position. Your schedule must allow you to attend the class section(s) you are assigned, even though the instructor may not require that you attend each class period. |
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) | Biology or other science majors are preferred with a 3.0 GPA. Students who have taken Biological Instruction (BIOL 2800) are preferred (BIOL 2800 is taught during fall semesters only). |
