What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Ventures Floater position at East Carolina University?
The Center for STEM Education is seeking to hire a Floater for the Summer Ventures Camp in a temporary, time limited, non-teaching position with availability from June 30, 2025 thought July 26, 2025. The Summer Ventures Floater will assist the Residence Life Director, Summer Ventures Director, and Residence Life Advisors with supervision, guidance, organization, planning, and activities for our approximately 50 academically successful high school juniors and seniors from all across NC. Floater will be needed in the afternoon/evening hours during the week and during day hours on some weekends. Hours per week will be approximately between 20 and 25 hours.
Administration – Planning and Organization (20%)
Floater will assist Residence Life Director and Summer Ventures Administration with camp preparations.
Management – Staff Assistance (80%)
The Summer Ventures Floater will assist the Residence Life Director, Summer Ventures Director, and Residence Life Advisors with supervision, guidance, organization, planning, and activities. Utilizing technology skills and resources, Floater will communicate with students, transport students using campus vehicles, support in organized activities and fill in where necessary.

Minimum Education/Experience
High School Diploma
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
valid NC Driver’s license
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Experience in instruction and/or program development/organization is desired.
