What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Crisis Team Counselor Bullock/Macon Counties position at East Central Mental Health Center?
A two person mobile crisis team services offering community-based intervention to individuals in need wherever they are; including at home, work, or anywhere else in the community where the person is experiencing a crisis.
Minimum of Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Behavioral Science
Psychological, social and behavioral assessment training/skills.
Training/experience in crisis intervention techniques.
Capable to assessing the needs of individuals within the region of operation
Connect to facility-based care as needed and coordinating transportation when and only if situations warrants transition to other locations.
Partnership with the region’s crisis call center hub to support efficient connection to needed resources and tracking of engagement.
Schedule outpatient follow-up appointments in a manner synonymous with a warm handoff in order to support connection to ongoing care.
Triage/screening, including explicit screening for suicidality; Assessment;
De-escalation/resolution; Coordination with medical and behavioral health services and crisis planning and follow-up.'
