Barista

Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for customers. You will also play a key role in creating a positive customer experience by providing exceptional service and building relationships with our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with company standards and recipes
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions about the menu
• Customize beverages to meet customers’ preferences
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and tables
• Stock and restock inventory such as coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies
• Handle cash and process transactions accurately
• Follow health and safety guidelines for food preparation and handling, as well as personal hygiene requirements (i.e., handwashing, PPE, etc)
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a background check
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail, especially when preparing beverages
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to respond to difficult customer situations in a professional manner
• Basic math and cash handling skills
• Presents a neat, clean appearance

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• May be required to carry, lift and move work-related supplies/equipment; ability to lift up to 25lbs
• Visual requirements include, but are not limited to the use of computer monitor and ability to read orders, recipes and instructions
• Manual dexterity to operate coffee machines and equipment; may experience repetitive motions using hands, fingers and wrists

Pay: $15.00 per hour
