Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for processing and managing invoice payments to ensure accurate and timely financial
transactions.
Essential Job Duties
• Process invoices for payment in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review and verify invoice documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain organized records of all payment transactions.
• Monitor payment due dates to ensure timely processing.
• Reconcile invoice discrepancies as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.
Omission of specific statement of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or logical
assignment to the position.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
• Associate degree preferred

• None
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in processing financial transactions
• Proficient in organizing and maintaining detailed financial records
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet payment deadlines
• Strong analytical skills to review and verify invoice accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example
• Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible
• Ability to communicate in a courteous manner
