Position Summary
The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive financial aid program while ensuring regulatory compliance and providing strategic direction for the distribution of federal, state, and institutional funds.
Essential Job Duties
• Oversee human, financial, and physical resources for the financial aid department.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the financial aid team.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Administer and manage federal, state, and institutional funds.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial aid strategies with institutional goals.
• Develop and monitor financial aid office budget.
• Establish student costs of attendance, including tuition, books, fees, room, and board.
• Provide financial aid guidance to students, parents, staff, and other college personnel.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business or related field with 4 or more years of Financial Aid experience
• 2 years of managerial experience required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to develop and manage budgets while maintaining accurate financial records
• Proficient in analyzing complex financial data and making strategic recommendations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example
• Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible
• Ability to communicate in a courteous manner
