Reports to: Kitchen Manager, Manufacturing Supervisors.
Overview:
East Coast Cannabis is seeking a motivated and hard-working Kitchen Assistant to join our ECC Kitchen Manufacturing Team in Lebanon, Maine. This is an entry level position with room for growth for hardworking and dedicated employees. This is a demanding yet rewarding position, no experience is required but a minimum of 2 years in the restaurant industry is preferred. All training will be provided although any production or manufacturing experience is a plus.
The Kitchen Manufacturing Assistant is responsible for helping with the manufacturing of edible products, packaging of edible products, cleaning of the kitchen/equipment, maintaining brand standards, support the goals of the Kitchen Manager. Kitchen Manufacturing Assistants are responsible for operating within the Maine Adult Use program guidelines per East Coast Cannabis’ best practices and maintaining an individual identification card issued by the Office of Marijuana Policy, State of Maine.
Kitchen Manufacturing Assistant Responsibilities:
Following Kitchen Managers instructions on the correct manufacturing process for all edible/topical/liquid infused products.
· Learning the process of producing edible THC products
· Overseeing multiple batches, a day between other tasks
· Removing finished products from their molds.
Assisting in the preparation of ingredients, weighing, and the execution of all tasks exactly as told. Additionally, cleaning of the equipment and tools used, including dishes.
Helping with packaging, counting, stickering, and correct storage and organization of final goods. Assisting with end of the week cleaning responsibilities
Keeping hygienic and professional in day-to-day activities.
Servesafe certification.
Helping other manufacturing team members with any tasks presented to them. Plus other tasks as delegated by leadership.
Help with basic inventory requirements, such as stock amounts and ordering practices.
Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required, college experience preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ kitchen experience preferred. Cannabis industry experience preferred but not required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
Position Specific Skills: Ability to help in the manufacturing process. Demonstrated ability to utilize basic Servesafe techniques. Ability to work towards and achieve staged production goals. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict accuracy on compliance tasks.
Personal Characteristics: Outgoing personality, friendly and eager, looking for growth, and team forward perspectives.
Required: Must be 21 years or older and be able to pass a state required background check.
Physical Abilities: Must be able to stand for long shifts. Must be able to lift up to
50lbs, standing for long periods of time.

- Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
- Second shift (after training) Tuesday-Saturday 12:00pm-8:00pm, Saturday's shifts occasionally required.
