What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crushing Plant Operator position at East Coast Demolition?
A crushing plant operator and groundman is responsible for daily maintenance of the plant including but not limited to; greasing bearings, recognizing and reporting mechanical issues, cleaning the grounds and learning how the plant functions. This individual must have excavator experience. Must meet minimum requirements listed below. Positions are for full time only. Prior to submitting an application please note that the position is for the Hampton Roads/NE NC area and East Coast will not pay nor assist with relocation expenses. Prior to submitting an application, also note that it is required to come to the corporate office for every morning. Serious inquiries only. Position is for immediate hire.
Essential Functions
- Perform record keeping requirements relating to safety, production, and maintenance
- Perform housekeeping and cleanup
- Safe operation of heavy equipment for truck loading, and plant loading activities
- Knowledge and experience running a crusher and crushing plant
- Work independently and collaboratively with others at the plant
- Perform daily inspections of the equipment, mobile equipment, and site to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruption
- Learn and expand knowledge of the business
- Interface with internal and external customers, vendors, and contractors in a professional manner. Excellent customer service, conflict resolution, and communication skills are essential to the success of this position
