Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a CCTV Operator located in Newport News, VA. The CCTV Operator will be responsible for monitoring and operating a CCTV camera truck, transporters, cameras and other related equipment.
- The main role of a CCTV operator is to use the NASSCO (National Association of Sewer Service Companies) established PACP, LACP, MACP guidelines to inspect, record, and document all defects within a storm or sanitary sewer line. Based on the observations made, a score is given for the pipe which can then be used to determine what, if any, replacement or rehabilitation is needed.
- Assemble deliverables for Clients including thumb drives or drop-box links of the recorded videos and associated reports.
- Some travel out of town may be required
- Create Daily/Weekly production goals and gameplans
- Track and record a timesheet
- Perform Pre-Trip inspections on vehicles, generators, and testing CCTV equipment
- Strong leadership and vocal communications are required, this position is responsible for achieving daily production goals to ensure profitability and success.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- NASSCO PACP, LACP, MACP Certifications required with over 12 months experience working with sewer CCTV equipment.
- Training and certifications available for applicants with 1 year experience in subsurface utility inspections.
- Valid Driver's License Required
- MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) Must be clean with no serious violations in the last 2 years.
- Ability to record and maintain inspection data, daily production sheets, pre-trip inspections required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in subsurface utilities preferred (CIPP or Install crews)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent
