Come join our team! East Coast Lumber is seeking Generator Technician for Full-time positions.
· Our Equipment Center is seeking a Generator Technician for full and part-time positions. This position will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing standby generators and automatic transfer[DR1] switches in the field in a thorough and accurate manner. Ensure the work is done to the highest level of customer satisfaction.

By supplying local builders, remodelers, and homeowners with all their building needs, we have become a preferred supplier of lumber and building materials, kitchen & bath products, builder’s hardware, millwork, and equipment sales, rentals, and service.
Reports To: Equipment Center Manager
General Requirements:
· Must continually be able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
· Must have good eyesight (correctable to 20/20) and normal hearing for diagnostics and troubleshooting equipment[DR2] .
· Must have a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record, and pass a DOT physical.
Target Responsibilities:
· Service, repair, modify, diagnose, and rebuild standby power generators.
· Perform preventative maintenance on natural gas, propane and/or diesel generators.
· Perform failure analysis, emergency field service for customers.
· Perform start-ups on new equipment.
· Process required paperwork in a timely manner.
· Responsible for communicating repairs needed to both customer and manager.
· Operate, drive, and maintain company service truck and parts inventory on truck.
· Assist in sales and customer service to increase revenue in this field.
· Help with Rental Fleet Repairs
