What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unarmed Security Officer position at East Coast Protective Services, Inc.?
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- All guards must interact with facility employees and general public. While these interactions must be accomplished to ensure security, i.e., without compromise, they must also be done in a professional and courteous manner. Guards must treat facility employees and visitors with respect.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for long periods of time with few breaks.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Ability to twist, squat, and bend over without physical limitations.
- Ability to perform patrols including walking long distances and going up and downstairs.
- Must be comfortable working in conditions that range from summer heat to Winter conditions.
- Open availability without restraints due to other part-time jobs etc.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Possess a valid and current North Carolina State Security License D and registration.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Ability to work Nights and Weekends
- Reliable Transportation.
- Possess a valid North Carolina State driver's license and be legally able to work in the United States of America.
- Able to pass a physical exam/drug screen and a background investigation.
- Be literate to the extent of basic computer skills, reading and understanding English, printed regulations, detailed written orders, training instructions and material, and be able to compose a brief, factual reports which convey complete information
- In addition, all employees will be dealing with and have access to sensitive information and will therefore be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
