We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and compassionate Benefit Treatment Coordinator to join our team. This person should be an excellent communicator who is motivated by success. Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Daily, monthly, and yearly production and collection goals achieved.
- Be present during comprehensive exams to understand patient treatment needs.
- Ensure patients understand their treatment plan.
- Handle objections to proposed treatment.
- Present case fees and financial options to patients to facilitate the decision to say “yes.”
- Present or co-present the treatment plan and consent.
- Educate patients, as necessary, regarding their dental benefits.
- Ensure insurance verification is completed daily. Have knowledge of dental benefit eligibility, limitations, and payment estimates necessary to facilitate financial arrangements.
- Ensure patients are up to date on their financial obligations.
- Submit, track and follow-up on pre-authorizations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the dental office team to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient treatment planning.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a dental office, with a focus on insurance verification, treatment coordination, or similar roles.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, treatment codes, and benefits.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and prioritize in a busy office environment.
- Computer Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office and dental software, specifically Open Dental.

Education and Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent of combination of education and experience.
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt.
Reports to: Operations Manager.
