Job Description: 

• We are looking for a talented Tableau Expert to join our team with a focus on optimizing, fixing, and enhancing our existing live Tableau dashboards and data visualizations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Tableau to troubleshoot performance issues, improve the user experience, and ensure that visualizations are accurate, efficient, and deliver actionable insights. You will work closely with internal business users to understand their needs and transform current dashboards to better meet those needs.  
• Qualified candidates must currently be in the Denver metro area or surrounding suburbs. 
• This is a contractor position.  
• Hourly pay rate:  $75 to $100.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop interactive and dynamic Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations based on business needs and requirements. 
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into visually engaging reports. 
• Optimize Tableau workbooks for performance and scalability, ensuring fast load times even with large datasets. 
• Conduct in-depth data analysis and identify trends, patterns, and insights to help inform decision-making. 
• Create ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed, while maintaining a high level of data accuracy and integrity. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau-related issues, including performance, connectivity, and data integration problems. 
• Educate and guide team members on best practices for Tableau usage and visualization techniques. 
• Stay current with Tableau product updates, new features, and emerging trends in data visualization. 

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Tableau, with a solid portfolio of dashboards and reports created using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. 
• Experience with data blending, data aggregation, and data transformation in Tableau. 
• Expertise in data visualization best practices, with a keen eye for design and user experience. 
• Strong SQL skills for querying and extracting data from relational databases. 
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing. 
• Experience connecting Tableau to various data sources, including databases, cloud services, and APIs. 
• Familiarity with Tableau Prep and other data preparation tools. 
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders and offer clear guidance. 
• Previous experience working with Executive and C-level teams is a plus. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Tableau Certification (Desktop, Cloud or Server) is highly preferred. 
• Experience working with large and complex datasets. 
• Familiarity with other data visualization tools (Power BI, QlikView, etc.).
• Experience in the field of Energy (NGL’s, Crude Oil & Natural Gas).
