POSITION SUMMARY :
The primary function of the Director of Staff Development is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. This includes helping with interviews and coordinating new employee orientation. Conducts inservices for all staff and training for nursing staff including nurse and CNA competencies. You will also a ssist with insuring quality resident care and services. The Director of Staff Development will work alongside the Director of Nursing with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.
