21st CCLC Site Coordinator - Job Description
East End United Community Center
Hourly Rate: $27/per hour
East End United Community Center is seeking qualified candidates for our afterschool programs as a 21st CCLC Site Coordinator at One Voice One Community and Laurel Highlands Middle School. This program is composed of students in grades 6-9. Site Coordinator is an administrative function for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers before and afterschool program.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment programs in the afterschool classroom and monitors the instructional delivery to targeted students.
- Consults and collaborates with the 21st CCLC Advisory Committee, principal and others to ensure the program goals are being met.
- Assists Program Director with parent engagement events as instructed in the grant.
- Assists Program Director with evaluating student data to target students for program participation.
- Maintains records of student’s attendance and overall progress towards accomplishing the steps required through the program’s grant components.
- Assists with coordinated recruitment and retention of student’s efforts including marketing of the program through website, bulletins, flyers, etc.
- Develops community partnerships per grant compliance.
- Recruits, monitors, and evaluates employees.
- Supervises site staff for the program daily.
- Completes required paperwork for payment to 21st CCLC staff; collects timesheets; submits paperwork.
- Understands and complies with grant requirements and goals including budget.
- Seeks donations and additional grant funds to sustain the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from Accredited University strongly preferred
- Strong classroom management and organization highly desirable
- Experience working with students or youth highly desirable
- Experience writing and completing lesson plans highly desirable
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Knowledge of current educational research
- High degree of proficiency with computer programs in EXCEL, WORD, and Google Suite
- Must obtain PA Child Abuse, FBI, and Criminal Background Check clearances
- Ability to multitask, meet small and large goals in a timely manner, time management, working well inter-departmentally and with others
- Experience and competence working with students, parent and guardians, and demonstration of leadership skills
- Requires flexibility with daily tasks as the work priorities change based on program needs, reporting requirements, and deadlines
When:
- The 24-25 afterschool program runs from September through May following the school district calendar (there is no program if there is no school or early dismissal - scheduled or emergency)
- Monday – Thursday, 3:15p.m. – 5:45p.m.
- Summer program hours to be determined
