Job Title: Maintenance Tech
Title of Direct Manager: Quality Manager
Position Summary: (Insert an overall synopsis of the major purpose and high level description of this position)
Responsible for effective maintenance of building and equipment to ensure a high standard of product quality, productivity and a safe working environment.
Essential Functions:(The reason the position exists is to perform these function, non-essential, ancillary functions should not be listed here).
Maintain machinery equipment & building in adequate condition.
Maintain cleanliness of building inside and out.
Performance Preventive Maintenance Procedures.
Liaise with Supervisors/Manager and Team Leaders regarding equipment & machinery performance and condition and the status of maintenance projects.
Completes required documentation.
Other activities as assigned.
Work with Upkeep maintenance software to log and create events.
Qualifications, Education, Knowledge, Training, Work Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Manufacturing Background
Shop Math Skills
Blueprint Reading
Above average problem solving skills, able to work with others to solve problems.
Good working knowledge of measuring equipment.
Above average communication skills
Competent operator, of lifting devices, machinery & equipment.
Working knowledge of the mechanics of CNC and Manaual Equipment, Welders, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, also must have basic understanding electrical, gas (compressed) systems.
Familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (sec. 23 through 32) & the Regulations.

Physical Demands and Environment:
Primarily a manufacturing environment with constant exposure to the manufacturing floor.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must have the dexterity to handle various objects necessary to complete the essential functions.
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. safely.

Some areas of the plant may require hearing protection.
Protective Eye Wear required throughout the plant.
