Public Protection Officer
The East Fork Fire District is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as our Public Protection Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting fire safety awareness, preventing fires, and protecting the public from fire-related hazards.
- Develop and implement public education programs to promote fire safety awareness and prevention.
- Conduct regular inspections of commercial, residential, and industrial properties to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and regulations.
- Investigate reported fire hazards and take corrective action as necessary.
- Collaborate with local authorities, emergency services, and other stakeholders to ensure effective fire safety practices.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, investigations, and educational activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of experience in fire safety inspection, code enforcement, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
